Open Source

Both the program (WordPress) and the programming language (PHP) are “open source,” which means they are free to use and are backed up by free, world-wide community support. Basically, others have already written the code to get the job done, and they are willing to share it, free of charge, so we don’t have to keep re-inventing the wheel. Those who take advantage of open source software are also expected to contribute, so the knowledge and code base is constantly growing. PHP, which is known as a highly secure programming language, is also open source. Taking advantage of the open source tools available to us allows iNOVA to get your job done much faster and less expensive. We are able to start with the WordPress platform which already has a content management system (CMS) included, build a custom “theme” (look and feel) for your website, and build unique features and functions to accomplish exactly what you have in mind for your site.
